Lindsey Siegel, P.T., DPT
Lindsey works in the outpatient setting specializing in treating pediatric sports medicine and return to sport, toe-walking, gross motor delay, torticollis, autism and cerebral palsy. Lindsey earned a bachelor's degree in neuroscience at Washington University of St. Louis and doctorate in physical therapy at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. She is pursuing early intervention credentialing and certification in manual therapy. Lindsey enjoys swimming, biking and running along the lakefront.
Myla Teemer, P.T., Multi-Site Manager
Myla specializes in treating patients neuromuscular conditions, pediatric incontinence, torticollis, developmental gross motor deficits and gait deviations. Myla earned a bachelor's degree at De La Salle University in the Philippines. She completed an eight-week NDT training and attended numerous continuing education in pediatric treatments throughout the years. She enjoys taking road trips with family and participating in various community events.
Kimberly Kamman, P.T.
Kim is a pediatric physical therapist who has clinical experience in outpatient pediatrics, orthopedics, vestibular and aquatic therapy. Kim earned a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2020 and doctorate of physical therapy from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in 2022. Her special interests include treating children with neuromuscular and orthopedic conditions such as toe walking and torticollis. She enjoys helping kids of all ages to improve their mobility and get as strong as they can. Kim enjoys working out, reading and spending time with family.
Katherine Marr, M.A., CCC-SLP
Katherine has special interests in childhood apraxia of speech, phonological disorders, autism, augmentative and alternative communication and stuttering. Katherine earned a bachelor's degree in speech and hearing science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and master's degree in speech-language pathology from Northern Illinois University. She maintains the ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology. Katherine is a trained vocalist with a passion for incorporating singing, guitar and musical expression into her therapy.
Austynne Newberg, MOT, OTR/L
Austynne has experience in outpatient and inpatient pediatric settings. Her special interests include pediatric hemiplegia, early childhood development, hippotherapy and pediatric spinal cord injury. Austynne earned a bachelor's degree in psychology at Carthage College and master's degree in occupational therapy at Midwestern University. She enjoys helping children get back to their desired and expected occupations through play-based, child-lead treatment approaches. She has training in DIR Floortime, Handwriting Without Tears, sensory integration and mindfulness intervention techniques. Austynne enjoys riding her horse and traveling the globe.
Madeleine Kozak, MOT, OTR/L
Madeleine has experience in outpatient pediatric and upper extremity rehabilitation/hand therapy settings. Her special interests include pediatric development, sensory processing, upper extremity rehabilitation, community accessibility/universal design and hippotherapy. Madeleine earned a bachelor's degree in occupational science and master's degree in occupational therapy at Saint Louis University. She uses a holistic, child-led approach throughout her sessions to foster an engaging therapeutic environment. She has training in DIR Floortime, Handwriting Without Tears and manual therapy intervention techniques. Madeleine enjoys baking, crafting and spending time with friends and family.
Carley Dolence, M.S., BCBA
Carley has worked in the school, in home and clinical settings. Her special interests include daily living skills, behavior reduction, functional communication and multidisciplinary collaboration. Carley earned a bachelor's degree in special education at Saint Louis University and master's degree in applied behavior analysis at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She enjoys playing volleyball, traveling, swimming and spending time with family.
Jennifer Ackerman, M.A., CCC-SLP
Jennifer has been a member of RUSH Kids Pediatric Therapy since 2015. She has a special interest in oral motor/feeding issues, apraxia, articulation/speech production issues, expressive/receptive language disorders, reading and writing disorders and autism spectrum disorder. Jennifer earned a bachelor's degree in speech and hearing from Indiana University and master's degree in speech-language pathology from Western Michigan University. She has attended continuing education courses including PROMPT, apraxia training, oral-motor/feeding courses, reading/foundations, phonological interventions, DIR Floor time and auditory processing disorders. She makes therapy fun for patients and believes in working closely with families. Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.
Jassica Durek , CF-SLP
Jassica is a speech-language pathologist who is completing her clinical fellowship year. She works with children at both of our Libertyville centers. She has a bachelor's degree in human development and family science and master's degree in speech-language pathology. Jassica is fully bilingual in Polish and English. She loves collaborating with caregivers and aims to create a welcoming, supportive and beneficial experience for everyone who enters the center. Jassica continues to grow her clinical knowledge and treatment skills through continuing education.
Rebecca Schumm, MOT, OTR/L
Rebecca joined our RUSH Kids Libertyville team as a pediatric occupational therapist in February 2024. Rebecca has three years of pediatric experience working with diverse clinical populations in the school-based and outpatient settings. Rebecca views each child as a "child of possibilities" and is passionate about providing holistic, family-centered care from a play-based perspective. She has special interests in feeding therapy, pelvic heath and handwriting difficulties. Rebecca enjoys playing water polo, reading novels and cooking.
