Our Team

Zeke Amador, PTA

Zeke graduated from Graceland University in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in wellness program management. We also played baseball at the collegiate level. He continued his education at Fox College graduated in 2015 with a degree in physical therapy assisting. Zeke has experience working in a variety of settings including acute care, orthopedics and skilled nursing. Zeke is certified in applied functional science from the Gray Institute and kinesiotaping. He believes in treating the whole person to be able to achieve their highest level of function to return to activities that they enjoy. Zeke has a strong interest in treating overhead athletes and running rehabilitation.

Denita Nixon, P.T.

Denita earned her master's degree of physical therapy from Northern Illinois University in 2003 and doctorate of physical therapy from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in 2007. Denita is an experienced physical therapist who is also a certified lymphedema therapist and certified manual lymphatic drainage therapist. She evaluates and treats orthopedic, neurological, lymphatic disorders and cancer-related diagnoses. Denita prides herself in providing personable and compassionate services to help her patients reach their fullest functional potential. She strives to have her patients build independence, so they can learn how to manage their conditions and symptoms.

Kathleen Doherty, P.T.

Kathleen enjoys treating patients of all kinds, but has a particular interest in chronic pain, pelvic floor pain and dysfunction and low back and hip impairments. As a provider, she strives to make the physical therapy experience accessible, understandable and as interactive as possible. She has a passion for the mind-body connection and loves educating her patients on how their bodies work. Kathleen graduated from the doctorate of physical therapy program at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and earned her bachelor's of health and exercise science from Regis University.

Nate Cercavschi, P.T., DPT, ATC

Nate has had success treating orthopedic, sports medicine and work-related injuries, both surgical and non-surgical. He believes in blending a bio-mechanical approach with hands-on manual therapy to help return patients to sport, work and life. Placing a large emphasis on education and postures, he ensures that provided physical therapy directly pertains to a patient's day to day life. Nate enjoys treating all athletes - athletic and industrial. Nate maintains both physical therapist and athletic trainer licenses following graduation from North Park University and Midwestern University.

Jon Schwartz, P.T.

Jon has over 5 years of experience, obtaining his doctorate of physical therapy from University of Illinois at Chicago in 2017. He grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, attended Miami University of Ohio, graduating in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in Finance. He subsequently moved to Chicago to work for 7 years as a financial advisor, until deciding to pursue physical therapy as a career after having numerous illuminating experiences as a patient recovering from a laundry list of sports injuries. He is passionate about creating a tailored approach to maximizing his patients' recovery from a vast array of conditions including, joint pain (back, neck, knee, shoulder, etc.), post-surgical rehabilitation, vertigo and deconditioning. Outside of the clinic, Jon is an avid sports fan and participant, practices various styles of exercise and fitness regularly and enjoys hiking and traveling.

Stacy Almanza, P.T.

Stacy was born and raised on a farm in Iowa and made her way to Chicago to attend physical therapy school at Northwestern University. She has been a resident of Chicago since and has worked for Select Medical since 2005. Stacy enjoys treating patients of all kinds and has a passion for promoting wellness for all. She has taken a particular interest in providing physical therapy to patients struggling with pelvic health dysfunction as well as those facing challenges that arise along the cancer care continuum. She is committed to bringing optimism and enthusiasm to each visit with her patients and motivate each patient to be an active part in their treatment plan. She is passionate about empowering people to find and feel like the best version of themselves.

Adijatu Disu, PTA

Adijatu was born and raised in Chicago and made her way to Texas to pursue her bachelor's degree in kinesiology at McMurry University and then back to Chicago for her physical therapy assistant degree at Fox College in order to start her goal of working in physical therapy. She was a patient of RUSH Physical Therapy in high school due to multiple knee injuries, which sparked her love for physical therapy. Combining a high level of compassion for each patient and extensive continuing education, she excels with treating patients of all kinds. Her four years of collegiate basketball enables her to see the 'athlete' in everyone, helping to set lofty goals for patients and help them meet them.
