Vestibular Rehabilitation
Specialized treatment to restore vestibular function
RUSH Physical Therapy's team of specialists are trained in a variety of treatment options for vestibular or inner ear disorders. The vestibular system allows us to maintain good balance and clear vision. Vestibular disorders can impact independence and safety by fueling dizziness, vertigo and equilibrium.
Our therapists will develop an individualized treatment plan that includes exercises to strengthen your posture, gait, vision, ears and legs.

The majority of dizziness and imbalance symptoms can be helped through vestibular rehabilitation. Our goal is to minimize your dizziness, improve your balance and prevent falls by restoring function to your inner ear.
What to expect during your therapy
During the treatment process, a home exercise program may be customized to meet your physical condition and diagnosis.
Most of the exercises are designed to retrain the brain to recognize and process signals from the inner ear, eliminating dizziness. Some treatments involve repositioning of small crystals inside the inner ear to stop a common type of vertigo. Vestibular rehabilitation exercises will work on restoring any balance issues present.
